Ferrari is celebrating 20 years in China with a latest show and a new supercar. To spot the anniversary of the sale of the initial Ferrari in China a Ferrari 348 TS planned by a Beijing customer in 1992. Ferrari is opening a show at the Italia Center in the Shanghai World Expo Park and release a China-only partial edition 458 Italia. The initial exhibition of its kind outside the prancing horse’s Maranello homeland, the Italia Center display covers 900 square meters and will preceding for three years and characteristic collection highlights from the Maranello Museum in Italy.
The attainment also gives Ferrari and reason to initiate the 20th Anniversary Special Edition Ferrari 458 Italia entirely for the Chinese market. Only 20 of the special edition 458s will be complete with purely stylistic changes together with a new Marco Polo Red color, golden dragon realistic on the cap, gold and black stripes up the centre of the car, gold touches on the face winglets and downward the sills, gold embroidery on the head rests, an engine start button decorated with the Chinese font for ‘start’, a 20th Anniversary Special Edition dash sign and wheels finished in, you guess it, gold.
Ferrari says the motivation for the corporate colors came from the Chinese longma theme, which means “the energy and spirit of the famous dragon-horse”. The Ferrari 458 Italia 20th Anniversary Extraordinary Edition will be unveiled at the induction of the Ferrari Exhibition in Shanghai in the coming weeks.
